Janelle Monae has to be the most exciting female singer I've stumbled across lately. She has this Lauren Hill, Kelis, Michael Jackson all rolled into one- vibe. I feel about her music the way I felt when I first heard Outkast's Speakerboxx/the Love Below. It feels really new and different. Plus, I'm totally digging her style.

My friend introduced me to this site and I don't know if I should thank her or strangle her. Either way, I'm hooked. The basic premise is that you upload items you own, and in return your get similar items for your Poupee doll. It's a community of fashion girls dressing up, pretty addictive. Back in June I had the enormous pleasure of visiting Tokyo. Whilst shopping my butt off, I stumbled upon Ralph and his 100 friends at Kiddy Land (an 8 story store full of character goods). On a whim I googled Ralph today and found this video. It kills. It really kills.

I'm a sucker for sparkle which is why I love Tiara Cafe. Located Downtown near the California Market Center, it's a welcome veggie friendly oasis in a sea of meat laden eateries. Besides having a delicious selection of food, it's the cutest restaurant I think I've ever seen. There are Miss Van paintings on the walls, and glittery painted murals. Hello Boys and Girls!! I love action sports, and though I never mastered the art of skateboarding, it's always had a special place in my heart. I'll be participating in a charity events that helps people with physical disabilities participate in action sports. The organization is called Adaptive Action Sports. I'm designing belt buckles made from recycled skate decks that will be sold at auction and all proceeds will go to charity. I love participating in these events yay! Also, big thanks to Pop Cling for printing my buckles.
